Parent's Testimonials

Welcome to Rendlesham Day Nursery. We are delighted to say that we have recently had an extremely successful Ofsted inspection and were awarded the top grade of 'Outstanding' for the areas of 'Enjoy & Achieve', 'Leadership & Management' and 'Learning & Development'. The Ofsted report stated that, "Children are provided with excellent opportunities to help them make extremely good progress across all areas of learning and development."
The Owner of Nursery Dan Powick has also recently attained the Early Years Professional Status which is the highest qualification that can been attained in the Early Years Sector. It is the Gold standard for those working with children under 5 and it is the governments aim to have an EYP in every day care setting by 2015.

Opened on 25th April 2005, Rendlesham Day Nursery provides high quality child care in an area previously short of child care options. Based in a large building with bright and airy rooms we pride ourselves on creating a personal and homely environment for children and their families. We also have a secure garden attached which allows free play for all ages to interact safely.

The owners of the nursery, Dan and Tina Powick are experienced childminders and feel very strongly about the standard of care that children should be offered. Because of this we have introduced a range of initiatives to ensure the highest level of service. These include our webcams - allowing parents to log on at any time and see their children- and employing only the most dedicated and qualified staff. We try to increase the confidence and self-esteem by treating each child as an individual, preparing them for their school years and helping them to cope with the challenges of later life.

We are a very environmentally friendly nursery and care greatly about recycling, food and the community. We have always used environmentally friendly nappies and believe that these are important to preserve UK Landfill space. However, parents who prefer disposable nappies can bring in their own supply. As we are concerned by the chemicals used in intesive animal farming, we use free-range local meat from a Suffolk supplier, fish, and for non meat eaters we replace meat with equally nutritious quorn, soya and vegatarian options. We use local produce where possible and all children are provided with healthy home-cooked meals and fruit and vegetables everyday. We also provide for any special dietary requirements.

If you would like to visit the Nursery or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. As new parents ourselves we recognise that parent's happiness and peace of mind is crucial whilst their children are with us, so once your child has started with us please log on to our secure website and watch your children playing via our web cams.
