Adventure room and Little Explorers room - 0-2 years

We have room for 12 babies in the Adventure and Little Explorers rooms with a staff member for every three children. The room is equipped with a ball pool, a sofa where the staff give the babies their milk, a table for arts and crafts and a book corner for story time. The room has direct access onto the shady part of a secure garden.

To reflect the different needs we have opened theLittle Explorers room for younger babies of 3 - 12 months. A sleep room is attached to the baby room where there are wooden cots and a relaxed environment. We try to keep the routine that your baby is used to at home to reduce any disruption. Within the sleep room is the milk kitchen where we keep all the babies milk bottles. These are named and stored in the fridge.

The baby rooms follow 'Early Years Foundation Stage' to ensure that all children develop fully in each area of learning. All the Adventure and Little Explorer staff members are dedicated to providing a high level of care for your babies.

Rainforest Room - 2-3 years

The Rainforest Room has slightly more structure than the baby room and allows the children to develop their personalities. The children will start to get used to a routine but will also be free to learn through play and develop the areas in which they have an interest. Their time in the Rainforest Room will prepare them for moving up to the Jungle Room at the age of three.

The room caters for 12 toddlers with a staff member for every 4 children. Everyday we make sure the children are able to do arts and crafts so they can either go home with a piece of work they have done or it appears on the display board. We believe it is important for the toddlers to be creative and offer various opportunities for painting, drawing, constucting models and using building blocks.

The room has a home corner and a book corner for quiet play. In the book area toddlers can look at books on their own or hear a story from a staff member. There are also sleeping mats so the children who are with us for the whole day are able to rest, if they need to, after lunch.

The Toddler Room follows 'Early Years Foundation Stage'to ensure that all children develop fully in each area of learning. We also incorporate focus activities each week to develop a specific area of learning. The room has direct access onto the secure garden where they have a selection of toys and games with which to play and plenty of room to run around.

Jungle Room - 3-5 years

The Jungle room has space for 16 3-5 year olds and has one staff member for every eight children. They followed the detailed cirriculum guidelines set out by OFSTED but ensure they present learning in a fun and lively way. This ensures the maximum enjoyment and benefit for the children.

We follow the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' which encourages children to develop fully in each area of learning. We understand that each child is different and the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' is designed so that each child can develop at their own pace.

There are sand and water tables, a home corner, a dressing up area, and I.T station and a large range of arts and crafts activities available to the children. Every child has plenty of opportunity to be creative and produce a piece of art and craft to display or take home.

We ensure that the children are prepared for starting full-time school when they leave the nursery. The mix of structured work including phonics, sounds, numbers, shapes and free play means they should settle with more ease into the school routine. We offer government funded sessions for all 3-5 year olds.

After-school and Breakfast clubs

We have room for 16 children to attend our clubs and we work very closely with the new Rendlesham School from where we run our After School Club. Children are given the opportunity to do their homework, then a number of activities will be on offer, including arts and crafts and outdoor activities. We believe it is the children's club and encourage them to work together and help us decide what activities they would like to try. We offer morning and afternoon pick-ups from Rendlesham School.

Holiday Club

We have room for 16 children for the holiday club and aim to provide them with a variety of activities including day trips out. The focus will be on outdoor activities during the summer holidays as we like to make the most of the good weather! We plan to do BBQs with them, sports activities as well as plenty of arts and crafts too.

Other Childcare settings

We have recentley opened a new nursery for 40 children on the border of Martlesham and Woodbridge. 'Bridge Farm Nursery' opened in July 2008. We also have After School Clubs in Rendlesham and Woodbridge.
